AI-native reading startup WOLIO has raised 2.5M in its first angel round to build the MVP of its platform, which personalizes books in real time for each individual reader. The round saw participation from early believers in AI-led content evolution and backers of futuristic consumer experiences.
Founded by Akshay Manorama, WOLIO is rewriting the rules of reading. Instead of consuming static, one-size-fits-all content, readers on WOLIO will experience books that shift in tone, depth, and structure based on their unique mindset, goals, and learning styles.
“Books haven’t changed in centuries. We’re building a world where every book adapts to you — not the other way around,” says Akshay.
The fresh capital will power:
Development of the web-based MVP
Real-time AI pipelines for content rewriting
The first wave of AI-persona book experiments
Team expansion across product, design, and engineering
The company aims to roll out a closed beta by the end of 2025.
