How did you get into this industry?
“I found out a year or two ago that the crystal labeled as moissanite, reads the same as a diamond on the heat dependent diamond tester. Mimicking the diamond, passing mainly all diamond testers. Once I found that out, I knew I had a gold mine of a product in my hands.”
“I couldn’t stop there, I did research on super clone watches and decided to buy moissanite by the bulk, and have it set in-house. Buying these from suppliers ranged from $1000-1300, which I knew was a ripoff. I knew the raw materials were much cheaper than that. So I decided to make them myself. After that, it just expanded into chains, bracelets, glasses, earrings, rings, and so much more…”
What do you want first time potential clients to know about you?
“Wherever you see moissanite, it’s ours 90% of the time. We supply the industry now. We’re a domestic supplier beating overseas prices, there’s no way to beat that.”
“I also want them to know that we’ve been doing this for a few years, and our reputation is so solid, that concerns of legitimacy shouldn’t even be a problem. I know a lot of first time potential buyers have doubts, but our brand is so securely foundated, that doubts disappear for most of our first time buyers.”
Quality control?
“Oh, of course. We do not joke around when it comes to quality. Best of the best materials, top of the line. 0.925 silver, 14k plated gold, in-house handset VVS grade moissanite, and more on all our products. We even get fully uncut moissanite by kilos in.”
“Once the product is made, we QC each time to make sure it’s up to par, if in any case an item is not achieving the level of quality we desire as a company, we break it down and restart the process.”
“But yeah, no joke on quality here. Best of the best only.”
Who are some of your clients?
“For obvious reasons, I can’t say any names. But I will say, a lot, and I mean a lot of those people you see online, especially those influencers, yeah that jewelry is from me… I’ve had some multi-million dollar celebrities get moissanite watches off of me just to have as security decoys for their real watches. But other than that, most of those big influencers, get multiple of these, and fake a whole lifestyle, and guess what, make a killing by ‘faking it to make it’. And I can’t even hate, use what you can to your advantage, I applaud their use of this jewelry to make an insane living.”
Tell us more about yourself, the owner. Who are you?
“I’m Joseph (Alexander) Huaman, I’m from a small town called Olathe, Kansas. Grew up there, and dropped out of college to pursue moissanite jewelry.”
“I’ve always loved business, and had a passion for it. One of my greatest achievements in life was retiring my mom, let’s see what else I can do in the future..”
“Used to literally live in a small neighborhood, and now I live in a penthouse at such a young age. I grew up on this street 10875 S Appleridge Lane, and if you punch it into Google, you can see it wasn’t much. But my mom, Rosie Ruiz, lives there, and I retired her this year.”
“It’s just one of those typical, came from nothing, now I have everything stories, but it really did happen, and advice to people out there, it’s really possible. It really is.”
